WILDERNESS CAMPING & CANOE INSTRUCTION
Partnering with schools to develop programs designed to grow and challenge students and to help achieve your school’s learning objectives.
Years of Experience
We have years of experience working with teachers and schools to provide fun-filled and educational day and overnight trips for students in elementary and high school.
What We Offer
Here are some options for your school to consider. We are also happy to work with you in customizing a package that will accommodate your group’s needs. Please contact us to discuss your options.
In our shared programming model, we offer five program/resource staff to work directly with you in teaching and hosting to make your outdoor education experience a success. Overnight canoe trips to nearby islands can be arranged. The minimum size for groups on Mackinnon Island in spring is 50 students.
Cash Island is our semi-wilderness site which gives an excellent first-time camping experience to groups of 20-50 students. Pioneer Camp provides full food and medical service from MacKinnon Island, and one program/resource staff to help teach and lead activities (more staff can be arranged for an additional fee). The minimum group size for Cash Island is 20 students.
We specialize in forming wilderness camping experiences, tailored to the needs & abilities of your group.
